2021 Immigration Court Help Desk - Self Help Workshop

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Immigration Court Help Desk, Self Help Workshop.

Every month we assist a group of unrepresented respondents in completing their Immigration Forms, which we will then submit to the government on their behalf. 


Location: Fully Remote

Volunteer RoleHelping participants to fill out the required Immigration Form(s):

  • I-589 | Application for Asylum and for Withholding of Removal
  • I-765 | Application for Employment Authorization
  • Motion to Change Venue
  • Motion to Change Address
  • Motion to Reopen
  • Other(s)
You just need a computer with Adobe and a cell phone.
 

Hours and Duration: It takes about 2 hours to complete the form but might be more, depending on the participant’s case. As you work, the attorney who will be reviewing your case may send you some additional questions to follow up with the participant.
