2022 CCCS Washington Heights Food Pantry
Do you want to help feed the hungry? Would you love to be a part of a passionate team that helps provide food nutrition for our community?
Come on down to Washingtons' Heights Ecumenical Food Pantry (WHEFP). We are looking for compassionate volunteers to help us with food distribution and bagging our inventory.

Schedule:
PACKING AND PREP
Tuesday: 9 am -2 pm
Wednesday: 9 am -2 pm
DISTRIBUTION
Thursday: 10 am -2 pm
Location: 665 West 182nd Street New York, NY
What you will do:
- Tuesday and Wednesdays: Help with setup, bagging, and stocking fresh food on our shelves.
- Thursdays: Manage the line and check-in, guide elderly clients, and distribute food.
- WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS COMFORTABLE REGISTERING CLIENTS ON THE COMPUTER FOR CHECK-IN ON THURSDAYS.
- Smile and have fun while helping the community!
Covid 19 policy
- Under NYC guidelines all volunteers must show proof of vaccination upon check-in.
- Please Adhere to temperature checks when signing in.
- Arrive with your face mask securely on. All guests and staff will wear one as well. Pro tip (bring a spare to change into after the event!)
- Utilize all hand sanitizing stations frequently and maintain a clean work area.
- Follow all social distancing protocols and crowd flow areas.
- Listen for further instruction from our staff on site.
Age Minimum (with Adult): 15+, Minimum Age:18+, Court Ordered Volunteer - Allowed
