2019 The NY Foundling (Deaf Services Program): Special Event Support
Do you have conversational ASL skills? Want to work with the Deaf community in a fun and engaging environment?
Then, please join our special Event Support Staff!
The Deaf Services Program hosts various special events for families throughout the year. We need volunteers who have conversational ASL skills to assist with activities to entertain children and groups of all ages!
Qualifications
- Basic Conversational ASL Skills
- Enjoy working with families and children

What you will do:
- Set-up and break down facility
- Assist with decorations
- Interact and run multiple activities
- Arts and Crafts
- Games
- Face painting
- And More!
- Serve food
- Manage raffle tickets
The NY Foundling was founded in 1869 as a home for abandoned children, The Foundling today offers an expansive array of services for underserved children, families, and adults with developmental disabilities. Whether it’s an abused child in need of a foster home, a young mother who lacks the skills to care for her child, or a young person lost in the juvenile justice system, The Foundling provides the resources necessary to rebuild lives and rebuild families.
